SATO International Europe has announced today that it will be showcasing its range of healthcare sector solutions, alongside its business partners, May + Spies, Patrise, and Elmicron, at MEDICA 2011 in Dϋsseldorf, Germany.

SATO offers a range of solutions developed to decrease patient identification errors in hospitals and patient healthcare facilities. The comprehensive system on offer also promotes best practice for the positive identification of patients, medications, specimens and samples, treatments, lab results and records, in addition to solutions for patient wristbands and blood-bag labelling.

Positive identification protects patient safety and helps avoid medical errors, while increasing a hospital’s productivity and reducing their costs. For many years SATO has worked closely with hospitals from around the world to develop straightforward, yet fail-safe systems of patient identification, to ensure hospitals remain as safe and error-free as possible.

SATO printers can print industry-compliant barcodes and formats. They are designed for use in environments that require high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. The SATO labels, ribbons and wristbands are tested to withstand environment challenges: contacts with body fluids, blood, xylene, water and virtually every kind of chemical, as well as extreme cold and heat.

SATO offers a range of easy to use healthcare printers for the application of clear text & barcodes to patient identification wristbands. SATO’s range of healthcare printers is also highly versatile, and capable of performing other crucial healthcare labelling functions. In addition to printing patient identification wristbands SATO healthcare printers can be reconfigured to print high quality barcodes and labels for use on blood bags, blood samples and in other labelling applications. SATO also offers healthcare printers with anti-microbial outer casings, suitable for use in healthcare environments where cleanliness and hygiene are factors not to be compromised on.

Many other innovative solutions will be exhibited at the stand SATO is sharing with its partners. To find out more and to speak to one of the team of experts, visit SATO at Hall 15, Stand D16.
