KNAUER Bioline systems are designed to speed up and simplify all common types of biochromatography techniques such as size exclusion, ion exchange or affinity chromatography. Significantly higher resolution or speed is made possible through pressure resistant glass columns and specially reinforced agarose-based high performance separation media.

An optimized packing technique so far uncommon for glass columns allows for higher bed quality and superior separation results. Bioline liquid chromatography systems save valuable laboratory space and operating costs, because of their unique benchtop cooling feature.

A crucial point: glass columns reconsidered
Glass columns offer important advantages such as biocompatibility, resistance against most buffers, and visibility of the column bed, making them ideal for bioseparations. KNAUER Bioline high resolution glass columns have been designed to be one of the most reliable and easy to handle column systems featuring axial compression.

Bioline high resolution glass columns offer pressure stability up to 100 bar and a thermostatic jacket for temperatures between 4°C and 60°C, making them suitable for a wide range of biochromatography applications. Symmetrical "Uniform Flow" distributors on both ends make reverse flow (up/down flow) possible and minimize peak broadening. The column hardware design allows for easy compression of the gel bed using the integrated compression screw. Moreover, the columns are equipped with an integrated quick release lever and can be closed with just one thread rotation.

The Bioline LC systems are optimized for bioseparations featuring biocompatible flow paths, benchtop thermostatization, and a modular design which easily adapts to changing requirements.
