Thermo Fisher Scientific launches Chromeleon 7.4 software

Chromeleon™ 7.4 unifies chromatography and MS data in one streamlined, scalable platform – enabling remote access, centralized storage, full traceability, and automated compliance features for labs in biopharma, food safety, and environmental testing

Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced Chromeleon™ 7.4 software, the first enterprise-ready, compliance-focused mass spectrometry (MS) and chromatography data system that covers single quad, triple quad and high-resolution accurate mass (HRAM) analysis.

Chromeleon 7.4 software brings Thermo FIsher's technology platform to regulated and non-regulated laboratory environments, streamlining data management and expanding functionality for targeted quantitative MS workflows.

Chromeleon 7.4 software enables research scientists and lab managers to focus on results, rather than data-related administrative tasks, by consolidating complex mass spectrometry workflows into one compliant-ready and connected system.

Mass spectrometry generates large volumes of data, which can be challenging to process and analyze efficiently; as a result, laboratories often struggle to quickly produce insights and may experience errors that result from manual data management. Chromeleon 7.4 software simplifies the handling of large MS datasets by using only one software platform and one interface, enabling faster, more automated targeted screening and quantitation during MS workflows.

Unlike classic MS software applications which are typically workstation-based, Chromeleon 7.4 software handles all aspects of networked operation, including concurrency, network failure protection and consistent handling of all MS analyses.

Scientists conducting research in the lab can remain focused on their analysis, accessing data remotely instead of moving between offices to view it locally or manually copying data from computers to other storage devices. Centralized data storage ensures critical data integrity, supporting high-quality research that drives advancements in health and environmental safety.

Users can easily share data and use the same software across labs, ensuring consistent usage and reducing the need to learn multiple disconnected software systems when transitioning between lab setups.
