Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, today announced that more of its chromatography systems and modules are now compatible with Waters Empower® Chromatography Data Software (CDS).

”This is an example of our ongoing commitment to offer customers freedom of choice when it comes to instruments and software,” said Wulff Niedner, director, HPLC Marketing, for Thermo Fisher. “Now, laboratories using Empower Software can avail themselves of the latest capabilities of our ion chromatography and HPLC platforms.”

Users of Empower 2 and Empower 3 CDS can now control more Thermo Scientific ion chromatography equipment including: Dionex ICS-900, ICS-1100 and ICS-1600 as well as the Dionex ERC 10 Eluent Regeneration Controller. Additionally, Empower CDS users can control the Dionex UltiMate 3000 rapid separation thermostatted open autosampler (OAS-3x00TXRS) and UltiMate 3000 quaternary rapid separation pump with extended pressure range (LPG-3400XRS) as well as the Dionex Corona ultra RS charged aerosol detector.

This freedom of choice also extends to Thermo Fisher’s popular Chromeleon CDS, which supports more than 300 different liquid, gas and ion chromatography instruments from approximately 30 manufacturers.
