1. Randox Announces New Linearity Sets
Randox Quality Control has announced the launch of its new Acusera Calibration Verification range for Beckman and Roche Cobas instruments. The new range will ultimately help laboratories to meet CLIA requirements for calibration verification and the assessment of linearity.
2. GATC Biotech’s Liquid Biopsy Testing Starts from as Little as EUR 195 Per Sample
GATC Biotech AG has announced the pricing of the company’s liquid biopsy-based services - ONCOEXOME, ONCOPANEL and ONCOTARGET. The prices, released during this week’s 10th International Symposium on Minimal Residual Cancer (ISMRC), start from as little as EUR 195 per sample.

Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. announced the development of a technology that accelerates database analyses of the correlations between genomic variations and environmental information, such as disease and lifestyle habits. This technology speeds up the process by a factor of roughly 400 compared to existing methods.
5. Agilent Technologies Launches New Platform for Analyzing Cell-Free DNA
Agilent Technologies Inc. has introduced OneSight, a new software platform designed to help researchers visualize and analyze chromosomal aneuploidies in cell-free DNA sequencing data.
6. Shimadzu Introduces Noviplex™ Duo Cards for “Lab-on-a-Card” Plasma Collection and Sample Preparation
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments (SSI) has introduced the new Noviplex™ Duo Plasma Prep Card for preparing two plasma samples from a single application of blood. Like the original Noviplex Card, the Duo prepares a blood sample anytime and anywhere without the need for a power source.
Chembio Diagnostics, Inc. announced plans to collaborate with Bio-Manguinhos/Fiocruz for the development of POC Zika diagnostic tests for Brazil. Chembio will use its patented Dual Path Platform (DPP®) technology for the development of a stand-alone POC assay to detect Zika virus, as well as a multiplex POC assay to simultaneously detect Zika, Dengue, and Chikungunya viruses.
