Touch the Future of Gel/Blot/In Vivo Imaging with UVP BioImaging Systems

7 Nov 2011

Visit UVP's booth to see the future of imaging with the ChemiDoc-It®TS2 Imager, the iBox Explorer Imaging Microscope, other UVP BioImaging Systems and ultraviolet and laboratory products. UVP is introducing the new ChemiDoc-It®TS2 Imagers which enable quick and simple image capture with the touch of the screen. The integrated computer, touch screen and exclusive capture software simplify workflow for imaging of chemiluminescent, fluorescent and colorimetric gels and blots.

Users can simply click the Live Preview button to immediately see an image sample. The built-in computer creates a networkable, stand-alone system. Researchers can easily save images to a USB stick or transfer to a network computer for further analysis or documentation.

Users of the new ChemiDoc-It®TS2 can:
• Optimize gel and chemiluminescent blot imaging with the highly sensitive megapixel resolution, cooled CCD camera.
• View low light samples in the light-tight darkroom which creates an optimum environment for chemiluminescent blots.
• Select components as required for specific applications. The modular design allows selection of UV transilluminator, emission filters, LED white light plate and UV modules.
UVP, LLC announces the BioSpectrum® Imaging System is now configured with the new MegaCam 810 scientific grade CCD camera. Achieve enhanced image capture with the MegaCam 810's dynamic 8.1 megapixel high resolution and high sensitivity capabilities. Researchers can capture not only fluorescence gel images, they can also be assured camera sensitivity and efficient ultra-cooled technology permits superior capture of chemiluminescent western blots. The BioSpectrum 810's VisionWorksLS software allows easy navigation with simple one-touch controls for dynamic capture. The automated configuration allow selection of multiple UV, white and blue light sources as well as control of the motorized platform and selection of emission filters. The emission filters, positioned in a motorized five-position filter tray, include EtBr, SYBR Green and SYBR Gold filters as standard. Additional filters are available. The system capabilities can be expanded to multiplex and bioluminescence imaging by adding a BioLiteTM MultiSpectral Light Source to enable excitation of a wide range of stains.

The iBox® Explorer™ Fluorescence Microscope enables brilliant resolution macro to micro technology for in vivo animal fluorescence imaging. The iBox Explorer provides breakthrough advances with dual lighting configuration and software-controlled objectives for imaging of tissues, tissue margins and individual cells. With the rapid and multiplexed fluorescence detection of tumor margins and micro metastasis, the iBox Explorer cleanly separates normal from cancer tissues via the cell's fluorescent signature. The system delivers optical configurations that are parcentered and parfocal, allowing seamless imaging through the magnification ranges. The leading-edge cooled camera enables quick detection and high resolution image capture. An integrated, compact computer/monitor is loaded with the easy to use VisionWorks®LS software. The system features a BioLite™ Xe light source which provides a brilliant illumination source for multispectral fluorescent, visible, and NIR excitation.
The iBox Explorer is the ideal system for applications including tumor shedding and angiogenesis, micro/macro metastases, tumor/host margins and interactions and primary tumor growth. Additionally, UVP offers the iBox® Scientia Imaging System which detects fluorescent proteins in whole animals for cancer research.

UVP will also feature additional BioImaging Systems Neuroscience. GelDoc-It® series imagers for high resolution gel imaging and analysis come with a built-in computer/touch screen version or an external computer/monitor. Perform basic gel documentation with the BioDoc-It® Imaging System, a compact stand-alone unit with built-in touch screen.
