Join BioTek Instruments as they introduce the Cytation™ 5 Cell Imaging Multi-Mode Reader at the ASCB 2014 Conference and Exhibition to be held December 6-10 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. BioTek’s “Think Possible” philosophy is reflected in their microplate-based imaging, detection, liquid handling and automation solutions and the company will showcase their newest innovations at Booth #349.

BioTek’s award-winning and patent pending Cytation™ 5 Cell Imaging Multi-Mode Reader combines automated digital widefield microscopy with conventional multi-mode microplate detection. Well-based quantitative data and phenotypic cellular analyses are easily and efficiently performed for a variety of assays, particularly the increasingly important live cell assays.

BioTek’s recently released MultiFlo™ FX Microplate Dispenser is now available with optional RAD™ (Random Access Dispense) technology to further extend its application range and flexibility. RAD technology offers single-channel dispensing to random individual microplate wells along with rapid reagent dispensing into large volume wells of 6- to 24- well microplates. MultiFlo FX can also be separately configured with an optional wash module for 6- to 384-well plates. When incorporating RAD technology or the washing module, MultiFlo FX can replace up to five separate liquid handlers, thus saving time and instrumentation costs.

Also on display, BioTek’s Epoch™ 2 is a monochromator-based microplate spectrophotometer for 6- to 384-well microplates, cuvettes and 2 µL measurements from 200 – 999 nm. Epoch 2 is available with a large touchscreen interface and full onboard Gen5 software for endpoint, kinetics and spectral scanning. Incubation, shaking and robot compatibility are standard.

BioTek’s Dr. Peter Banks will present a technical showcase, “Enabling 3D Cell Culture Technologies”. This showcase will take place in Theater 2 at the ASCB Exhibit Hall on Monday, December 8th at 4:15pm. Pre-registration is not necessary.
