Agilent 1290 Infinity II Diode Array Detector
The 1290 Infinity II Diode Array Detector (DAD) delivers multiple wavelength detection with full spectra at sampling rates up to 240 Hz for ultrafast UHPLC separations. The Max-Light cartridge cell features optofluidic waveguides, which improve light transmission to near 100% efficiency without sacrificing resolution caused by cell dispersions effects.

Analysis of pesticide products
Great product and really easy to use. The Agilent 1290 HPLC/DAD is a solid instrument for the analysis of pesticide formulations. High accuracy and good reproducibility. The autosampler did break early into the use of the instrument, but Agilent came and fixed it quickly.

Pharmaceuticals in liquid, not heavy matrix
Agilent's service when installing a new UPLC is very professional and quick. IQ/OQ were done very quickly without any problems. The UPLC is easy-to-use and can be called a "plug-and-play" system

Determination of industrial additives in water
I've been working with this chromatograph for less than a year. Its main advantages include ease of use, a very simple way of exchanging columns, access to all chromatograph components, and long service life of the DAD detector. The Infinity Diode ArrayDetector G1315C works in the wavelength range 190-640nm. The matrix contains 1024 diodes. The slit width is programmable in the range of 1, 2, 4, 8, nm; the programming of the slit width facilitates the optimization of the performance in terms of sensitivity (S / N) and spectral resolution. The pump produces a maximum pressure of 1300 bar (in the flow range up to 2 ml/min) and 800 bar at a flow of 5 ml/min. The 4-channel vacuum degasser is integrated with the pump. The only problem for me is the software, which is not always intuitive. I have also been working on gas chromatographs by Agilent Technologies for many years and the software has never been a problem for me. I find this equipment very functional and I cannot imagine my daily work without it.

With typical noise levels of ±0.6 µAU/cm, the 60 mm path length flow cell gives up to 10 times higher sensitivity than detectors with conventional flow cells.
Any compromising refractive index and thermal effects are almost entirely eliminated, resulting in significantly less baseline drift for more reliable and precise peak integration.
Features:
- Standard Max-Light cartridge cell with 10 mm optical path length provides high sensitivity (noise: <±3 µAU) and low peak dispersion for 2.1, 3.0, and 4.6 mm id columns
- Programmable slit from 1 to 8 nm provides optimum incident light conditions for rapid optimization of sensitivity, linearity, and spectral resolution
- Less baseline drift for more reliable and robust peak integration
- Full spectral detection for compound identification by spectral libraries or verification of the separation quality with peak purity analysis for ultrafast and efficient UHPLC
- Simultaneous detection of up to eight signals for increased sensitivity and selectivity
- Wide linear range (typically up to 2.5 AU) for reliable, simultaneous quantification of primary compounds, byproducts, and impurities
- Upgrade option to 1290 Infinity II HDR DAD solution provides 30 times wider linear range for samples with widely different concentration level
- Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for flow cells and lamp provides new levels of data security and traceability
- Next generation of electronic temperature control (ETC) provides maximum baseline stability and practical sensitivity under fluctuating ambient temperature and humidity conditions
