Agilent 1290 Infinity II Refractive Index Detector
The 1290 Infinity II Refractive Index Detector (RID) is a UHPLC RID detector that provides excellent sensitivity, resolution, and sample throughput for UHPLC DRI experiments. The 1290 Infinity II RID is a equipped with an ultralow dispersion microflow cell and a data rate of 148 Hz, which significantly reduces run times for higher sample throughput and improved resolution and sensitivity.
Sugar analysis in honey
We bought an RI detector last year for routine sugar analysis in honey. I find it easy to use and results are quite reliable with good LoD and LoQ. However, the detector takes a lot of time to get a stable base peak which is not the case in another vendor, since we have another one in our lab.

Analytical biochemistry
Very reliable detector. Holds a good baseline and is very consistent and easy to work with. Quickly settles to equilibrium temperature and holds a baseline better than other brands the lab has tried. Perhaps a smidge less sensitive than some others but the software helps to compensate for that.

Pharmaceuticals
After purchasing this product we were very comfortable with usage, maintenance and with the service provided. Time consumption was also reduced to certain levels. Good work by the whole team at Agilent, keep it up!

Features:
- Shorter run times - for considerably higher sample throughput
- Ultralow dispersion minimizes band broadening - for improved sample definition and resolution
- Reduced solvent consumption - for significant savings in analysis cost
- Ideal tool for polymer analysis - consistent molecular weights, at micro or analytical scale
- Excellent sensitivity - achieve low limits of detection
- 148 Hz data rate - even the narrowest distribution peaks can be detected and accurately quantified
- Fast startup - advanced low thermal mass design means that initial setup is typically less than two hours
- Further time and solvent saving - a recycle valve enables sample to be recirculated when the sample is not passing through the flow cell
- Automatic purging of reference flow cell - using programmable purge and wait times
- Easy maintenance - convenient front access for maintaining instrument uptime and early maintenance feedback (EMF) - indicates that preventative maintenance is due
