Тhe device works very well. After 5 years of use, the results are still accurate. Cathode lamps are still reliable. No corrosion on metal parts. The software is easy to operate. It saves time and money.

My oldies but goldies - The AA240FS sequential fast atomic absorption spectrometer has the productivity and analysis speed of ICP-OES at the price of AA. Like an ICP-OES, the AA240FS measures all the desired elements in each sample, unlike conventional AA systems that determine a single element at a time, requiring repeated steps for all samples and each element analyzed. AA240FS provides complete results for each test in minutes. This feature (FS) is applicable to the flame technique and saves time, reduces sample volumes and gas flows used, but also brings a reduction in operating costs and an increase in the efficiency of the team because more samples can be determined in less time. When using the atomization technique in graphite tubes, quantification limits can be decreased with a good immediate and intermediate repeatability. The equipment is controlled by friendly Windows-based software. It has multi-tasking capabilities and can be equipped with a full range of accessories to provide additional capabilities. Consumables and spare parts are not a problem, they are delivered quickly at acceptable prices. The maintenance is provided by the Agilent representative in Romania at very good prices. It is a good, reliable ibnstrument with good productivity. It was a good purchase for my lab, so I recommend it to others.

The 240Z AA features automatic lamp selection, an integrated PSD120 autosampler able to accurately prepare and deliver standards and samples to the graphite tube. It features tools to simplify method development and monitor analysis.
