Agilent Polaris C18-A HPLC Columns

Polar-modified column; available in 3.0, 4.0, 4.6, 10, 21.2 and 50 mm id;  30 - 250 mm length. From the collapse-resistant pore structure of the base silica, to the "wettability" engineered into the bonded phases, Polaris columns have been designed for high aqueous conditions.  The combination of high-phase density bonding, ultra pure silica and silanol shielding leads to excellent peak shape among polar-modified columns.

Polaris C-18 A columns often provide alternate selectivity for its polar separation application and it is specially designed for high-throughput and LC-MS analysis of polar analytes in drug discovery, drug metabolism and R&D. It has a stationary phase with a pH range of 1,5-10. The polar groups deactivate the few residual silanols through charge delocalization to enhance the peak shape. The polarity modification helps to avoid poor peak shape and retention issues while using low organic solvents. It is critical to have a reverse-phase column that works well in aqueous conditions.
