Dual Function Water/Bead Bath
We really like greener instrumentation and our green team decided that water baths are a source of waste in terms of the water used and raises the possibility of contamination and use of biocides to combat contamination are an added expense. Although this instrument allows either bead or water use our usage has been only bead based for the reasons already mentioned. It does a good job keeping temperature of solutions we need to keep warm and has a large enough size to allow multiple items in the same bath w/o spillage. Lead weight doughnuts are a thing of the past! You do need to keep the bead bath at least 60% full of beads but the reusability of the beads and convenience makes it worth the price.
