Overall, a great product. Give us accurate quantity and quality of our cDNA lib.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Use to analyze quality and quantity of cDNA library preps.

It is a great product and allows us to quantify and qualify our cDNA library before we prepare the library pool for sequencing. However, I wish each reagent could also be purchased separately. The kits are not cheap and I would like to have the option of purchasing any of the reagents separately, instead of ordering the whole kit because I run out of a single reagent. This option is currently not available, but it would be a great advantage to us if this would be made possible.

It does the jobs....

Genetics

The DNA ladder expire quickly and expensive. It's about $1000 kit, and only last for a couple weeks. The best way to use it is having your DNA samples ready, store them, then order the kit. Then run the bioanalyzer for all the samples at once.

Easy to use and really reliable kits.

Application Area:

For quality control of NGS library samples

We are long time users of the Bioanalyzer for NGS library quality control checks. We find the setup and reliability of these kits are amazing. The kits are expensive, but it's far cheaper than the price of a NGS run!

The DNA kits are ideal for automated sizing and quantitation of PCR fragments, restriction digests or fragmented DNA.

  • Broad linear dynamic range –detection of less abundant products, e.g. non-specific amplifications
  • High resolution – separate fragments down to 5 bp
  • Sizing accuracy – normalization to internal markers and ladder
  • Quantitation accuracy and reproducibility – quantitation of each DNA fragment against internal standards
  • Minimal sample consumption – only 1 µL sample required
