For the price of this instrument it has many capabilities and the machine if treated well works great. WE can assess quantities of DNA, do thermal melts and occasionally just scans.

It is quite simple to use. It functions at UV-NIR wavelength range. In our lab, it was used to detect the concentrations of the Aptamers (ssDNAs) and the concentrations of the nanoparticles that we synthesized. The life time of the instruments was not as long as we expected though.
