The CAS-MAP™ 8 Probo™ assay utilizes the caspase family inhibitor IETD-FMK conjugated to a bright red label as a marker for the detection of Caspase 8 in apoptotic cells. RED-IETD-FMK is cell permeable, nontoxic, and irreversibly binds to activated caspases in apoptotic cells. Any unbound reagent diffuses out of the cell and is washed away.
