Cellaca MX High-throughput Cell Counter
Count 24 samples in 48 seconds with Trypan Blue or 2.5 minutes with fluorescence
Cell Counting
We have been testing and using the Cellaca MX cell counter with Nexelcom for over a year. Cellaca MX has become a reliable and useful instrument for our work. It provides accurate viability and cell counts using the AOPI dye. It also saves us a lot of time especially when we have multiple samples to count.

Biobanking
Great technology for high throughput users who want to automate cell counting. Plates can be automated in robotic process, all counting is processed using a stardardized process.

Tissue culture/cell counting
The ease of use and fast, high-throughput capabilities definitely make the Cellaca MX the best cell counter on the market, even over the Beckman Vi-Cell which I've used for the past decade. Also, the follow-up with their FAS has been great, making sure that the product still works well with our varying applications.

R&D
After testing this cell counter and comparing it to other counting methods, we have seen that the Cellaca MX produces tighter/accurate counts and saves us time. I was very impressed with the field service representatives from Nexcelom for their willingness to come out to teach and troubleshoot any issues we were having. Big shout-out to Andrea Love and Charles Hernandez.

Cell counting
The Cellaca has made our NHP necropsy days much smoother. We will typically count 80-100 samples on a typical necropsy day, and what used to take us an hour or two with multiple people has now been reduced to a one-person job with much shorter time. It really has been a game-changer in our lab. Nexcelom has fantastic customer-service, although the machine has worked great and we haven't needed any service calls yet.

Cell counting
We were rapidly able to use the Cellaca MX for pipeline PBMC immunology assays integrating both flow cytometry and single cell genomics platforms. The nuclear staining was useful to exclude RBCs from the cell count. The ability to run a batch of 24 samples in a single plate has been integrated into our data analysis streams. Applications scientists from Nexcelom have been extremely helpful in customizing instrument settings for our specific needs. Solid, reliable cell counter with excellent support from the manufacturer.

Bioscience
So amazing! No instrument fluidics to be maintained, it analyzes cell lines or primary cells like T cells, PBMCs and tumor digest, incorporate robotics with an API compatible instrument. It is fast enough to count 24 samples in less than 2.5 minutes. Good value for money in general!

Cell therapy
The Cellaca MX high-throughput cell counter has streamlined the development efforts of our cell therapy product. The instrument combines the accuracy we require for cell viability measurements using the dual live/dead fluorescent dyes with the automation needed for intensive characterization studies. The support team at Nexcelom has been very supportive in getting our instrument up and running, with our product specific requirements. The time savings for our team with the increased speed and automation will easily justify the cost of the instrument.

Count 24 samples in 48 seconds with Trypan Blue or 2.5 minutes with fluorescence
Get your time back.
Skip the sign-up sheet and the long waits. Count 24 samples with trypan blue staining in 48 seconds. When imaging and analyzing with fluorescent viability dyes 24 samples are completed in 2.5 minutes. Get all those all-day, multi-scientist experiments done in 1.5 hours with one pair of hands.
Analyze low-volume primary cell samples.
Cellaca MX only needs 25 μL of cells, so you can analyze tumor biopsy tissue, mouse splenocytes, tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and more.
Count only the cells you’re looking for.
Use brightfield to check viability. Use fluorescence when you need specific details on cell health – tissue debris and red blood cells won’t artificially change your count.
Count once and done.
Cellaca MX results are highly reproducible and linear across a 2-log cell concentration range. You’ll also get consistent counts across systems, labs and users. That means you can run a sample once and know you’ve got the right result the first time.
As quick as 48 seconds for 24 samples
CHO cells stained with trypan blue
- Viability: trypan blue or fluorescent dyes
