CellVoyager CV8000
Flagship high-content live cell screening system equipped with dual microlens spinning disk confocal and up to 4 cameras maximizes throughput without sacrificing image quality. Kinetic liquid handling and built-in incubator enables studies of fast events in living cells. Flexible imaging modalities, acquisition configuration and analysis routines let you image in all dimensions.
The Yokogawa CV8000 is a groundbreaking high-content screening system designed to elevate research capabilities. The core of the CV8000 is its microlens-enhanced dual-spinning disk confocal (CSU-W1). This innovative technology ensures exceptional image clarity and depth by utilizing dual spinning disks with a microlens array to enhance optical sectioning and boost sign-to-noise, resulting in detailed, high-quality images of complex 3D cellular structures and dynamic processes.
The CV8000 is equipped with four high-performance large field of view cameras and high-power solid-state lasers, allowing for the capture of up to 4 wavelengths simultaneously, drastically decreasing the imaging time required for multiplexed assays. The system’s high-throughput capabilities make it particularly suitable for large-scale screens, providing researchers with the flexibility to examine complex biological mechanisms or search for novel therapeutics at rapid pace.
Yokogawa’s CV8000 also boasts integration of advanced water immersion objectives. These objectives are specifically designed to improve image quality and resolution by matching the refractive index of the aqueous environment in which cells are typically cultured. This results in superior image clarity at deeper imaging depths, making it easier to visualize and analyze complex cellular interactions and morphological details even in thick samples.
Adding to its capabilities, the CV8000 includes a sophisticated integrated liquid handling system. This feature automates the process of liquid dispensing and aspiration, streamlining workflows and improving reproducibility in high-throughput screenings. The integration of liquid handling with the imaging system enables observations of fast kinetics triggered by chemical/biological perturbation, which would otherwise not be possible to study in high-content fashion.
The final standout feature of the CV8000 is its advanced image acquisition and processing capabilities. The system’s cutting-edge software provides robust tools for real-time image analysis, including automated cell counting, phenotypic profiling, and quantitative measurement of cellular responses. These tools feed back into the imaging routine in real time, streamlining experimental workflow, improving data accuracy, and accelerating the pace of discovery.
