Cross reactivity
Human collagen type III <10% Human collagen type IV and V <4% Human collagen type II <1% Reactivity with human collagen III in ELISA is <10%. This is reduced to <1% in IHC/BLOT. This anomaly is unexplained.
Specificity
This antibody reacts with native and heat denatured collagen type I. Human plasma proteins do not interfere with binding to collagen.

Each vial contains 50 µg.
Antigen preservation
Is suitable for use on paraffin sections following pretreatment with 1 mg/ml pepsin in 0.5 M acetic acid for 2 hours at 37ºC and multiple buffer washes. Also can be used on acetone fixed cryostat sections and cytospins.
Reconstitution
With 500 µl of sterile distilled water. The addition of 1% BSA and 0.1% sodium azide is recommended.
Storage
Store lyophilised product with a desiccant.
