The CS1 Chiller-Stirrer is an accessory for the WOLF G2 Cell Sorter to provide cooling of sample and sheath fluid, as well as stirring of sample for better cell suspension.
Applications with temperature sensitive samples, such as stem cells or neuronal cells, can be challenging to sort. Such applications would benefit from modules such as the CS1 Chiller-Stirrer by keeping both sheath fluid and sample at the desired temperature during the sorting process. This allows for a more desirable environment for temperature-sensitive cells and increases viability of the sorted samples. Additional to the cooling mechanism, the CS1 Chiller-Stirrer can provide stir function for samples that settle quickly or aggregate. This will maintain single-cell suspension which will improve sort recovery and purity.
