Cryostorage of biological samples
As DMSO is very difficult to sterilize by filtration (dissolves membrane) or autoclaving (can cause an explosion), this product comes in handy for storage of bacterial/animal/fungal cells at liquid nitrogen temperatures. Also, the product can be stored at room temperature for a long time. It stores the cell perfectly at cryo-temperatures. The viability of the cells after thawing is >99.9%. Highly recommended for lab usage.
