We had three ELITe InGenius and for turnaround time improvement we switched one of them for a BeGenius. Best choice ever. We have a great relationship with ELITech and their sales representatives at our country, so acquisitions and support are always very smooth. The equipment is larger but not too large, it has space to store consumables and comes with extra parts and a label printer. It performs 12+12 extraction samples and 24 PCRs. Same as the InGenius, one extraction yields 4 PCRs and it’s possible to run PCRs from elution tubes from InGenius. The major different is the traceability. The BeGenius reads all barcodes, starting from the sample, to elution tubes, standards, controls and master mix. Reproducibility is a must, we perform essentially parameters for monitoring bone marrow transplant patients and we are very pleased with it.
