I remember that when I put the study to explore the methylation changes of some tumor suppressors and oncogenes in the CRC tissue samples as one of my research objectives, I was not sure that with the support from Zymo, it could be this much easy and satisfactory. Moreover, since my project has funding constraints yet with Zymo I have saved enough to add a new objective to my current study. I cannot thank Zymo Research enough for providing these "bio-magical boxes" that are not only simplifying science but making it worth every penny we provide.

Good performance with high reproducibility
DNA methylation at specific genomic regions.
My lab uses EZ DNA Methylation-Gold™ Kit on a daily basis to generate a bisulfite-converted genome suitable for the study of DNA methylation at specific genomic regions. I always had great results with this kit using DNA from cells as well as tissue and saliva. Its protocol is clear, faster and is easy to follow. The high quality of the recovered converted DNA allow its analysis by pyrosequencing and MSP-PCR. The ratio quality / price is pretty good, I consider it as an indispensable reagent for my research.

This product was used for a triple negative breast cancer cell line study evaluating the efficacy of various drug treatments including JQ1 and TSA. The best aspect of this kit is it worked the first time right out of the box. Following the manufacturer's protocol directly the kit yielded approximately 150 ng of bisulfite treated DNA for direct input to Accel-NGS methylseq DNA library preparation. All libraries looked uniform by Bioanalyzer and Qubit/qPCR quantification. Data from this study showed clear distinctions between treatments and untreated samples. The product was extremely easy to use. The supplied protocol was thorough, precise and correct. The results were highly reproducible and exceptional. The value for money couldn't be beat!

These products consolidate DNA denaturation and bisulfite conversion processes into one step, leading to a much faster bisulfite conversion. This is accomplished using temperature denaturation to complement chemical denaturation in the previous protocol. Also, this kit have been streamlined for high yield recovery of DNA following bisulfite treatment. Recovered bisulfite-converted DNA is ideal for PCR amplification for downstream analyses including endonuclease digestion, sequencing, microarrays, etc.
