Great workhorse for my lab in the last 10 years.

Application Area:

PHOTONICS

I study light-atter interactions in 2D materials integrated with photonic nanostructures. I require a sharp line width excitation laser in the visible region and tunable at the same time. I find this laser meets my requirements for most of my studies. The quality of the laser beam and stability is very good and repeatable results. The ease of operation of the laser to tune the wavelength is very good. It has a good polarized output beam with high extinction. I believe if it can be extended up to 800nm, this can be a great product in every photonics lab. You may need an additional spectral filter to suppress the sidebands other than the interesting wavelength. the power of the laser line is not uniform over the howl spectral range, this is also one thing to keep in mind. The power tunability is also very limited. overall, it's a good product with sharp pulse width in the femto second scale laser with tunable output.

The FemtoFiber pro TVIS is the model of the FemtoFiber pro series that yields tunable visible sub-picosecond pulses from 488 nm to 640 nm. It comprises a very robust SAM mode-locked master-oscillator and a core-pumped high power amplifier. The supercontinuum generated in a highly nonlinear fiber (HNLF) is frequency-converted by a manually tunable SHG crystal. Two motorized prism compressors allow adjustment of the supercontinuum and the optimization of the pulse width. The wavelength tuning is done by a manual micrometer screw and allows a continuous wavelength change by a fan-out structured crystal.
