Good, consistent and reliable results

Fusion TOC analyzer has demonstrated very good consistency in the results for drinking water samples. Less than 0.5 ppm reporting limits easy to achieve, consistent low background blanks and stable calibration provide for a good reliable testing.

The TEKMAR Fusion is very easy to set up and run. The results are reliable. The service after the sale is wonderful. It is much better suited for low TOC pharmaceutical and cleaning validation samples than the competitor TOC instrument that I used at previous job. I highly recommend the FUSION.

Quantitate amount of organic carbon in an aquous solution

This is a pretty effective instrument for determining amount of organic carbon in a sample. Instrument is reliable, with few hiccups. Support from tech service is amazing- Steve C will walk you through steps to problem solve any problems you may have. Initial setup and demonstration was a breeze. Upkeep is relatively simple. Parts are rarely backordered. The amount of required consumables is low. Minimum detection is 0.2 ppm with high reproducibility and accuracy. It's capable of detecting inorganic carbon, but my application doesn't require this. Overall, great instrument.

El agua purificada utilizada en la fabricación de productos farmacéuticos se controla constantemente para garantizar niveles mínimos de contaminantes. El análisis de carbono orgánico total (TOC) es una forma simple y eficiente de verificar que todas las aguas farmacéuticas cumplan con la regulación. La Farmacopea de los Estados Unidos (USP) establece que el requisito de que el agua reactiva utilizada para procedimientos con agua a granel sea ≤0,10 mg/L de TOC y ≤0,50 mg/L de TOC para procedimientos con agua estéril. La USP también establece requisitos de límite de detección (LOD) para instrumentación TOC en ≤0,05 mg/L para agua a granel y ≤0,10 mg/L para agua estéril. El analizador de TOC de persulfato UV Fusion nos ayuda a cumplir fácilmente con estos requisitos en el monitoreo del agua utilizada en nuestros procesos farmacéuticos, para lo cual, usamos el Método USP TOC . Para garantizar nuetros resultados, se realiza una calibración de cinco puntos utilizando la función de calibración automática del Fusion. Para lo cual se utiliza un estándar de 200 µg/L elaborado a partir de ftalato ácido de potasio (KHP) para construir un rango de calibración de 10 - 200 µg/L. We are PROPHAR S.A. a pharmaceutical company from Ecuador. Purified water used in pharmaceutical manufacturing is constantly monitored to ensure minimal levels of contaminants. Total organic carbon (TOC) analysis is a simple and efficient way to verify that all pharmaceutical waters comply with regulation. The United States Pharmacopeia (USP) requires that reagent water used for bulk water procedures be ≤0.10 mg/L TOC and ≤0.50 mg/L TOC for sterile water procedures . The USP also sets limit of detection (LOD) requirements for TOC instrumentation at ≤0.05 mg/L for bulk water and ≤0.10 mg/L for sterile water. The UV Fusion Persulfate TOC Analyzer helps us easily meet these requirements in monitoring water used in our pharmaceutical processes, for which we use the USP TOC Method. To ensure our results, a five-point calibration is performed using the Fusion's auto-calibration feature. For which a 200 µg/L standard made from potassium hydrogen phthalate (KHP) is used to construct a calibration range of 10 - 200 µg/L.

A beautiful instrument; truly elegant in appearance and how it works. Meets all USP requirements for TOC measurements. No need to babysit; this has an autosampler and automated dilutions. Software is excellent; user friendly. 21 CFR part 11 compliant with fully validated software package.

Very easy to learn and consistent, accurate results

Application Area:

Analyze stream and lake samples for presence of TOC, DOC, and DIC

This instrument often has reliable, reproducible results. It is very user-friendly and works very consistently. The only downside is that if the samples are too concentrated (out of the range of the instrument (PPM)), the run is stopped at the out of range samples. It will not continue to the rest of the schedule. The nice thing is that you can add a dilution method to the method list and the Fusion will automatically dilute your samples for you can calculate the results. With the dilution method on, very few samples are above the range of the instrument. This is a very easy instrument to learn, and because of that it is often one of the first instruments I show my students how to use. This is why the "Ease of Use" score is 5/5. "After Sales Care" is 4/5, because I interpreted this as how the members of Teledyne Tekmar remain in contact/help on request after the instrument is installed. They are very helpful once you call the helpline, but other than that I do not often hear from them. "Value for Money" is a 5/5 but it is mostly a guess as I did not purchase this instrument. It works very well so I can only assume that we get our money's worth.
