Plant sciences - germination testing
We used the chamber to test the germination of different grass species. It was a core instrument with several users and several different applications, so we had to change the settings according to our needs. The menu was not too easy to understand and use at first - but the company's tech staff was extremely helpful and via phone everything was solved.

Incubate algal cultures under UV
An extremely well built incubator, small footprint and easy to manoeuvre as it's on wheels. The interface was very easy to use however the instruction manual was overly ambiguous and confusing in places. In the end the chamber wasn't right for algal culturing, but the guys at binder allowed us to trial it prior to purchase and the customer service was bob on. A different Binder incubator model has since been advised and is also highly recommended.

The growth chamber KBW series is very reliable (temperature). Our germination tests are all run with this chamber. We have 2 chambers. The after sales service is good, we have a maintenance contract each year.
