R&D Systems now offers a Human Activin A Biotinylated Fluorokine Kit (Catalog # NFACTA). This flow cytometry kit is designed for the detection of Activin A receptor-expressing cells by flow cytometry. Activin A is a disulfide-linked homodimer belonging to the TGF-beta superfamily that signals through Type I/Type II receptor complexes. It is involved in the regulation of a variety of processes including mesoderm induction, endoderm and neural cell differentiation, bone remodeling, hematopoiesis, and inflammation. The Activin A Fluorokine Kit utilizes biotinylated human Activin A and avidin-fluorescein to label cells expressing Activin A receptors. Fluorescent cells are subsequently detected by flow cytometry.
