Good use, but probably better on non-phagocytes.
Cell membrane staining for fluorescence microscopy
This cell membrane stain is probably great for non-phagocytic cells, but it gets internalized very quickly on phagocytic cells, like macrophages. The internalization happens within about 30 minutes, which can make imaging super hard. Overall, it's a good stain and it's bright under fluorescence, but imaging of phagocytic cells must be quick afterwards to cut down on as much internalization as possible.

HCS CellMask™ stains label the entire cell and provide an accurate backdrop against which the features of interest can be assessed.
HCS CellMask™ stains can be applied to cells immediately after fixation or in the last step of multiplexing protocols, and they are compatible with detergent-based cell permeabilization protocols.
