Prepare libraries and templates for sequencing on Ion Torrent platforms
The Ion Chef instrument is very easy-to-use, quick and accurate. It comes with very high-tech robotics in a modern design that fits nicely in the lab bench. If you are looking for standardization in your lab, this instrument can be a great tool! Only improvement could be the cost of reagents, which at the moment might be a bit high, especially when it comes to library preparation. Also, while it frees our hands, it might be more difficult to adjust certain parameters. Would totally recommend it!

Sample preparation for Ion-Torrent NGS
Ion-Chef is a sample preparation robot that greatly facilitates sample preparation. Allows to manage up to two chips, managing with libraries up to chip loader. Has its own chip centrifuge, and can do all the incubation steps. User manipulation is minimal, therefore, the variability by manipulation decreases very much. All the reagents are pre-loaded and, in this way, is completely autonomous. We detect an improvement in data quality after begin to use ion-chef.
