Analysis of coatings and liquid paints
We have purchased a highly robotized LAUDA Surface Analyser LSA 200 for the sake of accessing the KPI of solid interfaces as well as liquid varnishes/paints. Basic operations like static/dynamic contact angle measurements are performed very fast and software functions well. Advanced functions like surface mapping (with up to four syringes) work well, albeit with some issues with the software. Specialized features like rotating force balance measurement have been automated only to a certain extent. Personally I like the degree of customization and expansion possibilities accessible with LSA200. It includes more features than similar devices. After-sales work efficiently and delivers higher value than I would expect from a middle-size company. Overall due to high performance and very competitive price, LSA 200 offers high value for money.
