Zaber’s M-LSM Series of devices are motorized micromanipulators, stand-alone units that can be controlled by a joystick or by computer. These devices are capable of speeds up to 14 mm/s and thrust up to 15 N. The travel length is 25 mm in XYZ with resolution finer than 0.05 µm. Able to be mounted to either a metric or imperial optical breadboard, the M-LSM can be oriented towards the left or the right.
The adjustable probe holder has been designed to quickly and easily adjust for varying probe sizes and angles. A programmable or joystick-activated 4th virtual axis allows for an approach along the probe angle. Controllers and joystick (X-JOY3) are included.
