For general laboratory use. The MagNA Pure Bacteria Lysis Buffer is designed for:
- lysis of bacteria in many different samples of mammalian origin (e.g., urine, bronchoalveolar lavage [BAL], sputum, cerebrospinal fluid [CSF], swabs) or bacterial cultures
- stabilization of DNA in sample lysates
- purification of bacterial DNA with the MagNA Pure Compact Instrument

Principle
Samples are incubated in Bacteria Lysis Buffer combined with Proteinase K to lyse the bacteria and to liquefy the samples. The samples are then transferred into the Sample Tubes supplied in the MagNA Pure Compact Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit I for subsequent purification using the magnetic-bead technology of the MagNA Pure Compact Instrument.
