It is a good product.

Average Rating 3.7

Application Area:

Centrifugation at low and regular temperature

We recently purchased this unit with different size rotors. Price was a bit higher during this covid time. Supposed to be a countertop size, but it is a bit bigger than what we expected. Performance-wise it is a good product. It is a competitive world and other good products are also available in the market.

Great instrument! Very useful!!!

Average Rating 4.7

Application Area:

All assays where centrifugation is required

Extremely useful due to the possibility of rotor changing. High performances with 50ml/15 ml/1.5 and 2 ml tubes as well as 96/384 wells plate. Simple setting options, both RT and refrigerated temperature. Noise is minimal, even when refrigerated. Stop alarm allows to monitor centrifugation ending even from near rooms in the lab.

The machine is OK to use, but need some work to keep running the spin quietly.

Average Rating 3.3

Application Area:

Molecular biology

The machine is easy to use; the system to chilling down air is fast. But, the noise is big, and the lid stand stick easily gets out of order.

We bought this centrifuge and had used it once when it started giving an electrical error message. It took almost a month to get it functional from this point. Reps from other companies asked why they hadn't swapped it for a new one, they didn't have any available apparently. We weren't impressed that a new instrument had not been tested prior to shipping to the customer. Other than this issue this centrifuge is fine.

Microcentrifuge 5430 R from Eppendorf

Combining two completely different sets of requirements into one centrifuge: the rotor options of a benchtop Centrifuge with the small footprint of a microcentrifuge. The air cooled Centrifuge 5430 and the refrigerated Centrifuge 5430 R!

The compact design of this 30-place Eppendorf microcentrifuge also performs an impressive range of applications.

Virtually any tube or plate you want to centrifuge can be accommodated in one of the eight rotors of the Microcentrifuge 5430 R: from an Eppendorf Tube at 30,000 × g to MTP plates and slides in the swing bucket rotor, from 15 ml and 50 ml Falcon® tubes in the fixed-angle rotor to blood collection tubes - without changing the rotor, only the corresponding adapters.
