The Minicube PCR is a uniquely different thermo-cycler defined by its high precision and absence of well-to-well temperature variations. The individually wells are microprocessor controlled and the temperature measured by high quality platinum sensors.This opens for new features such as asynchronous PCR where the user can setup up to 16 different protocols running in parallel or even running time-shifted in parallel. The latter gives the possibility for adding new PCR tubes as they are ready from sample preparation and pipetting of buffers.
Minicube PCR is a 16-well PCR device capable of running 16 different PCR protocols at the same time. Each well is its own precisely-controlled temperature zone monitored by a rapid microprocessor. We have measured the well to well varation to be 0.0 °C so the variation is zero down to the first significant figure. The absence of well-to-well variation ensures the the device produces high quality PCR reactions.
Even better, the flexible Minicube PCR allows for individual control of each tube. Try running a gradient on 8 tubes while incubating 8 other tubes at 8 different temperatures. Use the pause function to add new experiments to Minicube PCR on the fly.
The Minicube PCR device is constructed with great respect for precision. Each well is a rapid heating and cooling element with an impressive ramp rate >15 °C/sec monitored by a high precision and quality PT100 sensor. Each well is calibrated at 6o different temperatures (from 20-99 °C) by submerging the device into a calibrated Fluke heated bath with a temperature accuracy of ±0.0001 °C. The precision measurement circuit is optimized for high accuracy 24 bit recording, noise filtering and environmental stability in a temperature range between 4 to 100 °C.
