Cosmetic formulation
Very easy to use and needs little to no maintenance. The IKA stirrers and homogenizers are used in cosmetic labs because they are durable, easy to clean and give reproducible results. It was easy to get a small replacement part (the only one I ever needed) through after sales.

Clifton offer a wide range of hotplate stirrers in single or triple place, finished with aluminium or ceramic tops. The ceramic surface is resistant to a wide range of chemicals and any spillages are directed away from the controls. Smooth start up and speed changes ensure that the magnetic follower does not detach. On digital models the display indicates both set and actual plate temperature.
All models feature a "HOT" warning light when the plate temperature exceeds 50°C. Also in the mixer range is the popular 'Cyclone' CM-1 Vortex Mixer with 'press start' or 'continuous on' setting. Speed range 200 - 2800 r.p.m. allows for gentle to vigorous mixing of samples.
