Heating and annealing in air or modified atmospheres (inert gases)
The Nabertherm muffler furnace LT 5/13 is 5 litres in volume and has a maximum heating temperature of 1300°C. *Disclaimer: the manufacture advises not to work above 1250°C for extended periods to prolong the lifetime of the furnace. In our Lab, we are depositing refractory metal oxide surfaces and so very high temperatures i.e. 800°C to 1200°C are required for the annealing process. Controller device - The B410 controller device is equiped with this model (LT 5/13) and it is has a digital screen with a simple 'push' button setup and user interface. This allows easy setup of heating programs and starting processes. Heating program - The furnace can be programed to heat up at designated heating rates, whether it be degrees celsius/farenheit per minute/hour, until the desired holding temperature is reached. The heating program can be configured such that a variety of holding temperatures and/or heating rates are achieved. This is excellent for you who relies on controlled heating and cooling processes. More so, the B410 controller allows documentation - via USB - of all steps involved in the heating program. Safety in the heating program - The furnace is designed with an over-temperature limiter which prevents the furnace from exceeding the over-heating temperature of the furance. Also, the B410 controller enables different supervisor levels to restrict/limit user capabilities. Overall, the furnace equipped with the B410 controller device is user friendly and the inputted temperature programs provide high quality, reliable and reproducible results. The ability to document the heating process supports verification of this. Pre-sale and after-sale care meets general customer service requirements (email/telephone) and is executed in a most professional manner. With all the capabilites, customer support and accessories available for this furnace, it is worth the investment for researchers or industry; especially since it is not very expensive and this furnace can be easily placed in a fume cupboard or on a benchtop (with ventillation).

Heating elements on support tubes radiating freely into the furnace chamber provide for particularly short heating times for these muffle furnaces. Thanks to their robust lightweight refractory brick insulation, they can reach a maximum working temperature of 1300 °C. These muffle furnaces thus represent an interesting alternative to the familiar L(T) ../12 models, when you need a higher application temperature.
Standard Equipment
- Tmax 1300 °C
- Heating from two sides
- Heating elements on support tubes ensure free heat radiation and a long service life
- Multi-layer insulation with robust lightweight refractory bricks in the furnace chamber
- Optional flap door (L) which can be used as work platform or lift door (LT) with hot surface facing away from the operator
- Adjustable air inlet in the furnace door
- Exhaust air outlet in rear wall of furnace
- Controller B410 (5 programs with each 4 segments)
Additional Equipment
- Chimney, chimney with fan or catalytic converter
- Over-temperature limiter with adjustable cutout temperature for thermal protection class 2 in accordance with EN 60519-2 as temperature limiter to protect the furnace and load
- Protective gas connection to purge with non-flammable protective or reaction gases (not available in combination with chimney, chimney with fan or catalytic converter) not gas tight
- Manual or automatic gas supply system
- Port for thermocouple in the rear wall or in the furnace door
