The software is very friendly and easy to use, it allows performing spectral scans for analysis with a DAD detector, which allows to verify co-elutions more easily, it contains templates for issuing visually pleasing reports.

OpenLAB CDS needs more improvement on efficiency and speed.
Pharmaceutical chromatographic analysis and intepretation
The software needs much more enhancements and would be the best fit for Agilent LC Hardware. The software doesn't allow the user to shift from one window of chromatographic data to another. It is very slow or uses a very complex and heavy algorithm that means you have to wait for a long time after clicking. Also the individual files produced, when compared with peers are too large in size. This eventually occupies too much space in the computer memory making multiple hard-drives necessary for a single year's data (when working with a normal single wavelength detector itself, not a Mass or PDA detector, which would require even bigger file sizes).
