Sample Covers
Parafilm has been used in our lab for many years at least 20+. It is very versatile. We use it as a barrier between the top of bottles and the cap to help lessen the chance of leakage with the sample. Also in our lab it is used to wrap around the tops of reagent bottles to preserve and help reduce evaporation of the reagent components. Another useful thing we have found to use this for is when we cannot open a bottle we wrap a piece around the top and it helps us to grip the lid better and makes quick work of opening bottle tops that are stuck.
