Mixing Terpenes and Distillate
Upon receiving the 400DS Benchtop Homogenizer I was very unsure of it at first. Once set up and took some time to use it, it was amazing beyond my expectations! The 1:1 ratio for Terpenes and Distillate was unimaginable. One simple machine can make a product 100× better. Easy to set up and easy to use, we purchased one and once we were satisfied with the results, we went ahead and bought a second one to ensure we were going to continue to get amazing results!

Good homogenizer that could use a few minor adjustments to be great.
Homogenization of macroemulsions
The instrument does exactly what it should do, it homogenizes. Swapping probes is easy. My only wish is that even this basic instrument would have the ability to program the homogenization time, i.e. pulse at 15kRPM for 30s, stop 10s, or something like that. Also, instead of setting the RPM you have to use a dial that seems to have a second lag between turning it and the RPM hitting that point. So there is a little bit of an issue in always hitting the exact same RPM value between replicates, but it gets very close each time that the difference between each replicate should not matter.

However, the EL version offers an Extra Long stand height, which provides a total of 31 inches of length for a taller container (standard model has 14.5 inches of length).

Please Note: Viscous samples will reduce max capacity. Adding a Deflector Head to your Generator Probe will facilitate movement of your sample during homogenization and help increase max volume homogenization.
