Excellent reproducible automated Ubbelohde viscometer from Lauda. We have been using it for the last 3 years without any breakage! Although it is a little costlier compared to other brands, worth to go for it anytime!

Fuel Analytics
We are using the PVS (w/o auto sampler and cleaning module) for systematic studies on the low temperature properties (down to -60°C) of Jet fuels and their alternatives. With our low number of samples we primarily rely on high flexibility for varying research targets. The system allows for easy routines determination and beyond (e.g. simultaneous density determination). The system perfectly fits our needs.

Analyzing polymers
The software is designed to be simple and clear. We have decided on an automatic cleaning module. This works reliably and saves a lot of time and work. In addition, the danger of breaking the capillary is minimal. The automatic cleaning is very reliable. The measured values are reproducible. The service is good and if you have any questions you will get an answer promptly. Lauda's training on the device was really helpful and many tricks and application examples were explained.

Modularity and high reproducibility
The PVS is an automatic viscosity system, measuring the kinematic viscosity of Newtonian fluids with capillary viscometers. In spite of the modularity, the PVS provides maximum accuracy and reproducibility. Furthermore, working with the PVS is easy and with the upgrade to the autosampler system VAS 15/2 or VAS 24/4 even unsupervised 24-hour operation is possible.
Particularly with time consuming measurement runs, the VAS helps to substantially reduce the burden on qualified employees. An additional advantage is the increased level of safety when handling aggressive media, e.g. sulphuric acid, which is achieved through the fully automatic measurement procedure. Because of its reliability, its modularity and the large throughput capacity the PVS has proven itself to be an indispensable instrument for day-to-day operation, particularly in the polymer industry.
