16s metagenomic amplicon library prep for Illumina MiSeq platform
The Quick 16s amplicon library prep kit is extremely time saving compared to the in house library prep protocol that we have used before. Quality of the sequencing read was increased significantly with the kit. Kit comes with the qPCR master mix that enables us to limit the PCR amplification to minimum number of PCR cycles and reduce the PCR bias. And the qPCR also can be used to quantity the samples at the same time with library amplification. This saves a lot of time necessary to quantify individual samples. This makes the kit ideal for high throughput experiments. The enzymatic cleanup eliminates the necessity of PCR cleanup after 16s target amplification. Overall this kit is time saving, highly efficient and generates reproducible data. We tested this with Zymo Research community DNA standards and the results were highly reproducible. This kit is the best kit available in the market for 16s amplicon sequencing.

Fastest 16S rRNA Library Prep. The Quick-16S™ NGS Library Prep Kit utilizes real-time (quantitative) PCR (qPCR) rather than endpoint PCR for 16S rRNA amplification, enabling direct quantification of PCR products and eliminating the need for additional library quantification analysis such as TapeStation®analysis or gel electrophoresis. An enzymatic clean-up is introduced between the two PCR steps, saving time and reducing costs as compared to lengthy AMPure®bead-based clean-ups. With these features, the kit dramatically reduces the hands-on time of 16S library preparation.
