Sensovation is your partner for the development and supply of imaging systems for life science applications. We have broad experience in design and manufacturing of analysis instruments for in-vitro diagnostics and pathology.

Our SensoSpot® Microarray Analyzer product line for fast-read out and analysis of multiplexed assays based on planar, low-density microarrays is available as an OEM basis and can be easily integrated with standard laboratory automation systems. All instruments are developed and manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 and are prepared for certification of your IVD product.

SensoSpot® is our Microarray Analyzer OEM platform which offers a wide range of design features to match the specific needs of your customers:

  • Automated analysis of multiplexed assays based on planar, low-density microarrays
  • Compact SensoSpot® platform equipped with a built-in PC, touchscreen and Sensovation‘s powerful ArrayReader Software
  • Microarray imaging, intelligent spot-finding- and analysis-algorithms
  • Instrument versions for fluorescence and colorimetry
  • Open-platform analyzer
  • Adjustable for various sample formats
  • Real-time analysis and high-throughput readout
  • Incredibly robust and compact
  • CCD imaging for fast analysis
  • Excitation source: high-power LEDs
  • 16 Bit images - Large dynamic range
  • ISO 9001/13485 certified

We offer three product variants – SensoSpot® Fluorescence, Colorimetry and Colorimetry Reflex.

For SensoSpot® Fluorescence two instrument versions are available, whereas the colors indicate the excitation wavelengths:

  • Two channel excitation: SensoSpot® Fluorescence green/red
  • Three channel excitation: SensoSpot® Fluorescene green/red/blue
  • A wide range of fluorescent dyes are compatible

SensoSpot® Colorimetry performs the analysis of multiplexed colorimetric microarrays on transparent surfaces. For non transparent surfaces use SensoSpot® Colorimetry Rfx. SensoSpot® Colorimetry Rfx is equipped with reflectance optics to read colorimetric microarrays on non-transparent surfaces, like nitrocellulose.

The SensoSpot® Microarray Analyzers are specifically designed for flexibility: Customized printing by one of our partners offers open configuration of panels and custom definition of consumables.

SensoSpot® is an open platform reader capable of reading and analyzing arrays in various formats, such as slides, 96-well plates, or other proprietary formats not exceeding the dimensions of a SBS microplate.
The compact SensoSpot® platform can be customized in Hard- and Software. It can be equipped with a built-in PC and touchscreen. The instrument comes standard - at no extra cost - with Sensovation’s ArrayReader Software, a powerful and intelligent “on-board” instrument-control and array-analysis software. The microarrays are analyzed in real-time, right during measurement. Intelligent spot-finding- and analysis- algorithms assure that each spot of the microarray is measured based on special spot characteristics.

SensoSpot® Microarray Analyzers employ a solid state camera-based concept which is different to the scanning technology used in standard microarray laser scanners. The SensoSpot® is equipped with a high-sensitive, low-noise CCD camera for detection. Illumination or fluorescence excitation is done with high power LEDs.

As the entire microarray image is captured with one camera shot, image acquisition and result calculation is faster than with laser scanning technology. No moving optical parts are needed which makes the SensoSpot® tremendously robust – no need for time-consuming installation and alignment or recalibration after transportation.

Typical applications are multiplexed ELISAs and genotyping assays.
