The SMARTer Stranded RNA-Seq Kit provides a solution for generating libraries for Illumina® sequencing platforms that retain strand information with >99% accuracy.
This kit generates robust data with input as low as 100 pg to 100 ng of RNA. The SMARTer Stranded RNA-Seq Kit uses a random priming method that is applicable to both polyA RNA and rRNA-removed total RNA. The kit can be used with both mammalian RNA and bacterial samples. The core SMART technology has been modified in this kit to generate complete transcriptome coverage of both coding and non-coding RNA while incorporating indexes and adapters in the workflow, which eliminates the need for a downstream library preparation kit.
You can generate indexed libraries that are ready for Illumina sequencing in less than 4 hours using the SMARTer Stranded RNA-Seq kit protocol. We also offer the SMARTer Stranded RNA-Seq Kit HT includes 8 Forward Primers and 12 Reverse Primers to generate up to 96 separate indexes for high-throughput reactions.
Features:
- Accurate — Identify each transcript's strand of origin with >99% accuracy.
- Sensitive — Applicable to as low as 100 pg to 100 ng of input RNA.
- Integrated with Illumina sequencing — Incorporates indexes and Illumina adaptors in the workflow.
- Couldn't get easier — Start to finish in less than 4 hours.
- SMARTer Stranded Total RNA Sample Prep Kit - Low Input Mammalian — (Cat. No. 634861) A complete solution from total RNA to RNA-seq libraries for most human, rat or mouse sample types.
- SMARTer Stranded RNA-Seq Kit HT — (Cat. No. 634862) Uses Illumina high-throughput indexes to generate up to 96 indexed RNA-seq libraries. All other SMARTer Stranded RNA-Seq Kits utilize 12 low-throughput indexes.
