Great results

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Cement

It is reliable.

Review Date: 24 Oct 2022 | Thermo Fisher Scientific

Great use of XRF and XRD techniques for identification of solid materials.

Average Rating 4.3

Application Area:

Analyze inorganic materials such as ores, metals, unknowns, etc.

Great for sample identification by using a combination of XRF universal software for elemental analysis and XRD for compound/phase analysis. These techniques become extremely useful for troubleshooting at the plants where certain materials found to be unknown that need analyses. Quality of the analyses can be improved through corrections of universal calibration or creating empirical calibration if standards are commercially available or can be made.

Having both XRF and XRD capabilites is an advantage!

Average Rating 4.3

Application Area:

Analyze iron containing materials from iron ore to direct -reduced iron

The combination of both XRF and XRD capabilities is an advantage for material characterization of power geological samples yielding analyses including elemental composition and mineral phases present in the sample. Sample preparation is convenient for powder materials as only one pellet is need for both XRF and XRD scans. Pressed pellets are often easy to prepare, less time consuming with low cost.

Review Date: 5 Dec 2016 | Thermo Fisher Scientific

Produces good results. I would recommend that it can be used in both production and especially in research facilities.

Average Rating 4.0

Application Area:

Analyze different types of material including iron ore, direct-reduced iron, metals, etc.

Easy to use with Uniquant universal method for XRF. Also, empirical methods can be created if certified materials are available.
