The Orbitrap Ascend MultiOmics Tribrid mass spectrometer increases confidence in results obtained from analysis of labile PTMs thanks to the availability of alternative fragmentation techniques such as electron transfer dissociation (ETD). ETD is better suited for labile PTMs such as glycopeptide because of their non-ergodic type of dissociation.
