Liquid extraction mixing
We have several VWR digital vortex mixers that we use for a specific extraction. There are foam tube holders that hold our centrifuge tubes, and mix them as we add solvents slowly. Because this is digital, we can control how fast the vortex is going, and it keeps time too. Great vortex!

Designed for vigorous, uniform vortexing action in a wide variety of applications with minimal vibration. Use with flasks, beakers, tubes and microtitre plates. Variable speed control allows low rpm start-up and gentle shaking of samples. The heavy base casting with corrosion-resistant enamel finish; units will remain stable on the workbench. The Digital vortex mixer is ideal for applications that demand repeatable results. It features touchpad controls and LED displays for accurate speed and time results. The timer will display elapsed time or when programmed to a user-defined time limit, the unit will shut off when time reaches zero. Choose from two modes of operation; continuous mode when using accessory attachments or touch mode which activates mixing when depressing the cup head.
