We bought three of the starter kits for these pipettes. The piece that ejects the tips doesn't fit properly and is constantly falling out on over half of the pipettes, affecting efficiency and pipetting accuracy.

I know all labs want to buy Gilson or Eppendorf pipettors and that is what is on everyone's wish list. But for those of us who have economic restrictions, this is the best pipettor for the money. Best value for the money. It is very easy to use. It is smooth and has a locking system. It works really well. We get tips from VWR too, so these pipettors work very well for us. Our local rep is really good about getting us a very good quote on top of the already good value. Only con, I can think of is the stand doesn't come with the set, and buying the stand is very expensive issue. What comes with the set doesn't work very well.

Innovative new ergonomic design features allow for consistently comfortable pipetting, even throughout extended use. An extended, curved finger rest allows the pipettor to be comfortably balanced on the index finger, and both plunger and volume adjustment forces have been significantly reduced to eliminate the strain of repetitive pipetting. Volume setting is continuously adjustable using either the micrometer wheel or dispenser button. A locking mechanism prevents accidental volume shift while the instrument is in use.
Pipettors are available with or without a tip ejector. To accommodate a wide variety of tips, the easy grip ejector system provides adjustment of the ejector height. The stainless steel construction of the ejector prevents corrosion and bending. A padded grip is fitted onto the top of the ejector arm for easy removal. The lower portion of the arm fits tightly around the pipettor shaft for access to the bottom of the narrowest tubes.
These lightweight, durable pipettors are fully autoclavable and supplied with a tool for in-lab calibration.
