For normal-phase chromatography, the ZORBAX product line offers a choice of bonded and non-bonded silica packings.
The ZORBAX CN is a polar bonded-phase column packing used for normal or reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography, and is less prone to fouling than silica. The ZORBAX CN can be used for separations of compounds ranging from low to high polarity and is often utilized to separate compounds that have been separated on silica columns in the past.
ZORBAX CN Features:
- Cyanopropyldimethylsilane monolayer bonded to ZORBAX SIL
- Equilibrates more rapidly than ZORBAX SIL, and is used for many of the same normal-phase applications
- Less prone to fouling and less water sensitive than silica
