DNA Polymerase I

Promega Corp.

DNA Polymerase I catalyzes the template-directed polymerization of nucleotides into duplex DNA in a 5´→3´ direction. DNA Polymerase I possesses a 3´→5´ exonuclease activity or "proofreading" function, which lowers the error rate during DNA replication, and also contains a 5´→3´ exonuclease activity, which enables the enzyme to replace nucleotides in the growing strand of DNA by nick translation (1). The enzyme, purified from r…

QuICK QuEChERS

UCT, Inc.

The QuEChERS Clean-up step is rapidly completed using the QuICK QuEChERS cartridge. This self-contained cartridge contains 110 mg of anhydrous MgSO4 and 180 mg of PSA. Placed on the end of a disposable syringe, the QuEChERS extract is pushed through directly into a sample vial for analysis. Clean-up is equivalent to dSPE clean-up, but faster and easier, eliminating the need for centrifugation.

ChloroFiltr® for QuEChERS dSPE Clean-Up

UCT, Inc.

Chlorophyll in QuEChERS extracts must be removed to reduce potential instrument downtime. This is removed from extracts using graphitized carbon black (GCB) Unfortunately, GCB also removes planar analytes reducing analytical accuracy. ChloroFiltr®, used in place of GCB in dSPE tubes, removes unwanted chlorophyll without removing pesticides or environmental analytes. No change in procedure are required.

Clean-Up® Hydrophobic Columns

UCT, Inc.

These sorbents are composed of a silica backbone bonded with hydrocarbon chains. They are used to extract compounds, which exhibit non-polar or neutral characteristics, from complex matrices. The C18 phase is the most popular phase.  UCT offers a range of hydrocarbon chain lengths from C2 to C30. In addition, we offer isobutyl, tertbutyl, phenyl, and cyclohexyl bonded phases.

Clean-Up® Anion Exchange Columns

UCT, Inc.

This sorbent is composed of a silica backbone bonded with a carbon chain terminated by a negatively or positively charged functional group. Ion exchange interactions occur between a sorbent that carries a charge and a compound of opposite charge. This electrostatic interaction is reversible by neutralizing the sorbent and /or analyte. Ion exchange bonds can also be disrupted by introduction of a “counter ion” to compete with…
