An Automated Profiling Application using a Direct, Cell-Based, Target-Compound Interaction Assay for G9a Histone Methyltransferase and Bromodomain Proteins
2 Feb 2013The capacity to assess binding of potential inhibitory compounds to specific epigenetic proteins in a cellular format allows for the generation of more in-vivo-like data. This scientific poster from BioTek presents the automation and detection of a simple, robust cell-based assay procedure, involving G9a and BET bromodomain proteins, to achieve this objective. The combination of assay chemistry, as well as liquid handling and detection instrumentation, create a simple, yet robust and definitive cell-based solution for the identification of inhibitory compounds of these important epigenetic targets.
