Analysis of Crude Oil by HR ICP-OES on PlasmaQuant® PQ 9000

In this application note, the PlasmaQuant® PQ 9000 was used to analyse impurities in crude oil samples. Since highly viscous crude oil samples are typically diluted with organic solvents prior to ICP-OES analysis, sensitivity becomes the most critical performance parameter for trace and ultra-trace detectability in crude oils.
